Yann Leto
Yann Leto is a painter who is free of orthodoxy, so that his messages continually transpire between the installations, creating a language in which hybridization is the key. Leto frequently uses irony in his work and explores ambiguous topics such as sociopolitical issues. His paintings often portray imaginary scenes where figures can be seen partaking in various activities. Each figure is unique a following their own storyline, typically one free of conformity. Leto’s dense painting techniques produces images that are conceived as a collage in which the typographical elements coexist with an intense revision of the great classical paintings, where the void of no-paint planes dissipate from the image.
