Eric Geithner
Eric Geithner’s paintings start with a relatively elaborate surface preparation that helps them become more sensitive to luminescence and translucence. Recently, he has used this approach to explore crying. Some people cry a lot, others not so much. When a person cries, there is often a universe of context. Crying can be a relief and tears might be an opening to a fuller story. Crying renders an emotional landscape even more visually recognizable.
