Anna Kalachyan
Anna’s work is all about the human experience that connects us. Whilst we may all be different, we feel the same feelings and experience the same emotions that connect us as people and that is a concept Anna explores through her work. She begins with a blank canvas and lets her mind, body and subconscious take over until the work is complete. Anna aims to continuously challenge herself and the viewers perspective as whilst she may be left with the idea of a smiling woman the audience may see a solemn man.
Anna states: ‘In a world that often leaves me feeling anxious, apathetic, and frustrated, my artistic process allows me to be the best version of myself -- through exploration of new mediums, my subconscious, my feelings towards fellow humans and my own intentions I become someone who is focused, creative, passionate, diligent, hopeful, connected and calm. I strive to bring the same feelings to those viewing my art.’
