Andrea Mongenie
Andrea Mongenie’s practice spans from painting to set design and murals. It centres on the interaction between shape and colour, balance and discord. She plays between light, texture and movement in her compositions, inviting each element to interact with the components surrounding it, before settling into a final landing point. The power of her final compositions relies on a sense of ritual: a lengthy process of colour mixing, resulting in the inexplicable harmony between colour, objects and place. With every painting Andrea aims to achieve a deep calm and warmth through colour, form and texture.
