Andrea Devia-Nuño
Andrea is a Latin-American artist currently residing in Madrid. Initially studying as a graphic designer in Argentina, Andrea describes her work as an ‘Infinite oscillation between figuration and abstraction.’ Her work evokes sensuality and ambiguity and can be seen through her use of feminine and expressive figures.
Her work is a tangible reflection of the way she feels that is ever present in the continuing theme of feminine desire. Andrea begins by drawing free flowing forms until they develop in to a working concept. Often, she will rotate and move her work to help understand the expressive nature of her sketch before formalising each individual figure.
Andrea is currently represented by The Mushroom Company and has shown work at a number of exhibitions including ‘Punto de Fusión’ at the Central Society of Architects, Buenos Aires, as well as her first solo exhibition at Silk Gallery Madrid.
