Alexa Torre
Mexican photographer Alexa Torre focuses on women as a physical and symbolic mainstay within all of her photography series. She is often capturing women dressed in traditional Mexican clothing to show the audience the rich history and culture that her country has.
Modernity and consumerism has meant that Mexico’s, like many countries, tradition has been pushed to one side. Alexa hopes that her work will help to preserve the beauty of Mexico.
Alexa has a particular interest in colour and how it can impact they way in which we see the world around us and the more complex structures of society that sit within.
