Alejandro Áboli
Born in Madrid, Alejandro is a filmmaker and photographer who grew up surrounded by art and culture. For the past decade, as a producer and filmmaker he has worked across a number of short films and documentaries which in 2004 earned him a prestigious award from the New York Film Academy. Prior to being an independent photographer Alejandro also worked in the advertising industry where he collaborated with brands such as Mercedes-Benz and National Geographic.
Áboli is now working on his debut series ‘The Redline’. Born in 2015 from his desire to express his unique way of looking at the world, the goal is to incorporate surrealism and abstract expressionism into his photos. The series represents a significant transition from a photographer to a visual artist by combining reality with fiction through reducing images to their simplest form. Alejandro says that ‘The RedLine does not represent life as you know it, but life as you dream it.’
