Adam Linn
Adam Linn contorts visual languages of cartooning and eroticism to render a world of flamboyant impossibility. Linn articulates curved forms and perspectival shifts as a means to seduce entry into corporeal, jungle-gym like scenes. While resisting conventions of “straightness” in the work, Linn explores themes of sexuality, masculinity, seduction and perception. Operating between an intimate, close to the surface drawing practice and a looser, wet-on-wet painting process, he creates images that glow and vibrate with exaggerated gesture.
